ይህ ኮርስ ለእንክብካቤ ሰጪዎች የሚያስፈልጉትን ዋና ዋና እውቀት ይሸፍናል (የግል እንክብካቤን፣ ግንኙነትን፣ የመንቀሳቀስ ድጋፍን እና በእንክብካቤ ውስጥ ያሉ ግለሰቦችን ፍላጎት መረዳትን ጨምሮ). ይህ ኮርስ እንክብካቤን ለሚጀምር ለማንኛውም ሰው ጠንካራ መሰረት ይሰጣል። ዋና መሰረታዊ ኮርስ ለእንክብካቤ ሰጪዎች አስፈላጊ ስልጠና ይሰጣል፣ መሰረታዊ የእንክብካቤ መርሆችን እና እንክብካቤ የሚፈልጉ ግለሰቦችን ለመደገፍ ተግባራዊ ክህሎቶችን ያካትታል። ዋና መሰረታዊ ኮርስ ሁለት ዋና ዋና ክፍሎችን የያዘ የ54 ሰአት ፕሮግራም ነው፡ የእንክብካ
ይህ ኮርስ ለእንክብካቤ ሰጪዎች የሚያስፈልጉትን ዋና ዋና እውቀት ይሸፍናል (የግል እንክብካቤን፣ ግንኙነትን፣ የመንቀሳቀስ ድጋፍን እና በእንክብካቤ ውስጥ ያሉ ግለሰቦችን ፍላጎት መረዳትን ጨምሮ). ይህ ኮርስ እንክብካቤን ለሚጀምር ለማንኛውም ሰው ጠንካራ መሰረት ይሰጣል። ዋና መሰረታዊ ኮርስ ለእንክብካቤ ሰጪዎች አስፈላጊ ስልጠና ይሰጣል፣ መሰረታዊ የእንክብካቤ መርሆችን እና እንክብካቤ የሚፈልጉ ግለሰቦችን ለመደገፍ ተግባራዊ ክህሎቶችን ያካትታል። ዋና መሰረታዊ ኮርስ ሁለት ዋና ዋና ክፍሎችን የያዘ የ54 ሰአት ፕሮግራም ነው፡ የእንክብካቤ መሰረታዊ ትምህርት እና የመሰረታዊ ክህሎት ትምህርት። የእንክብካቤ መሰረታዊ ትምህርት አስፈላጊ የእንክብካቤ መርሆችን የሚሸፍን የ38 ሰአታት ክፍል ሲሆን፣ መሰረታዊ ክህሎት ትምህርት በተግባራዊ የእንክብካቤ ክህሎት ላይ ያተኮረ የ16 ሰአት ክፍል ነው።
